The Trade You Wish You Didn’t Miss: My August 2024 EBAY Call, Fully Unpacked
Risk $1.75, Make 3.3x: The EBAY Setup That Rewarded Bold Traders
As many of you are aware, in addition to this Newsletter (formerly my Blog), I offer an online educational program and a Consulting Service. Back in 2024, on August 27, I mailed a detailed analysis of eBay to some of my consulting clients. I had sent this as a replacement for an analysis of Nvidia because that stock rallied without dipping to my desired buy level. I am sharing the charts of eBay here because they are a fascinating study of how one can risk so little to make so much money. But before you jump into it, would you like to support this Newsletter by visiting the Ad of the sponsor seen below? They do offer something of value, and it costs you nothing to take a look.

In the first chart below, the date is displayed as 8/30/2024 because it is a weekly chart of eBay. Later, when I present you with the Daily chart, you can see that the date is 8/26/2024, indicating that I was using the end-of-day chart for August 26, 2024. The last price for August 26, 2024, was $59.00, as is also shown in the first chart below.

And what do you think happened to eBay?

It is essential to have a method when you are trading. That method is more than just theory. It is easy to label charts AFTER the fact and fit the theory to what you present. You will find such examples in abundance everywhere. My book teaches you the THEORY in an easy-to-understand way, because many people find it hard even to understand the theory. But to be successful, you should also learn how to execute the method. I teach this in my online program, often using examples like the one above, where I examine different markets in real-time for the case studies that are presented.
Once you master the technique, you will know how to spot low-risk trades regularly, and that will allow you the financial freedom that you seek.
Thanks for reading! Until next time, auf wiedersehen!
